This condition, known as Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS), is considered an early form of breast cancer. While it is not invasive yet, if left untreated, it may progress to invasive breast cancer in the future.<\/p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>What Is Stage 0 Breast Cancer?<\/b><\/span><\/h2><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abnormal cells grow within the milk ducts.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cells have not invaded surrounding breast tissue.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\" class=\"translation-block\">Often detected during a mammogram.<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most patients show no noticeable symptoms.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>Should It Be Treated?<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"translation-block\">The answer is \u201cYes.\u201d The main goal of treatment is to prevent DCIS from developing into invasive breast cancer.
